How the 7-day ChainBreaker trial works
The trial provides every application feature for seven days. Its deadline is tied to one computer, remains unchanged after an update or reinstall, and uses the same installer as the paid version.

When the seven days begin
The countdown starts with the first successfully verified trial installation, not when the file is downloaded. The remaining time is obtained from the server and displayed in the application title and main menu.
- downloading the installer does not start the countdown
- the trial is assigned to the device during its first activation
- the app shows the days and hours remaining in the trial
Updates and reinstalls
While the trial is active, you can download and install the package again on the assigned computer. The server recognises that device and returns the original expiry date, so an update preserves access without granting another seven days.
- you can safely install a newer build on the same computer
- reinstalling does not change the trial expiry date
- using a trial assigned to another device is stopped with a specific message
What happens when the trial expires
After seven days, configured schedules, limits, and blocks stop being enforced. Both the interface and autostart notify you that the trial has ended and let you purchase the full version or submit a review of your experience.
- settings remain stored, but trial rules are no longer enforced
- if a paid licence was previously active on this computer, the app can return to it
- buying the full version does not require rebuilding every rule
